The wayfinding sign program of the Mammoth Lakes Trail System was created through collaboration with partners, public input, and thoughtful design. There are multiple sign types used throughout the Trail System across both hard surface pathways and soft surface trails, offering details on location, usage, and regulations. You might have noticed the different sign types which include interpretive panels, information kiosks, reassurance markers, along with various trail guides featuring wayfinding information and maps. This comprehensive system facilitates easy navigation along pathways like the Town Loop and the Lakes Basin Path.
This sign was formerly situated along the Mammoth Lakes Trail System, guiding trail users on their journey. As the Trail System and the Town of Mammoth Lakes continue to expand with new trails and infrastructure, periodic updates are essential for the wayfinding program.
