Measure U Grants – Special Projects

MLR is the recommending body to the Town of Mammoth Lakes for the expenditure of Special Tax Measures R & U. A large part of the recommendation is for the funds to be used as grants for projects and programs that support recreation, arts and culture. Buckeye Hotsprings Recreation Enhancement & Watershed Restoration Project

Fiscal sponsor for Mono County Recreation to develop sustainable recreation by constructing a new access trail and trailhead infrastructure that will provide for responsible public access and improved watershed quality of Buckeye Creek.

Community First Arts Grants

MLR has been awarded a $150,000 National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) American Rescue Plan (ARP) Grant to Local Arts Agencies (LAA) for Subgranting. Applications will be accepted early 2022 and funds will be distributed in May 2022 and March 2023. This award is to support eligible organizations and jobs in the arts sector impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic.
