Enjoy alpine fishing and multiple lakes within a short hike from Big Virginia Lake. Starting at over 10,000 feet, hike the trail to the 11,000 ft pass overlooking scenic lakes in the Hoover Wilderness, with backcountry access to the Yosemite Wilderness. Or take a short walk to Little Virginia Lake at Virginia Lakes Resort, or to Trumbull campground for more fishing opportunities. In the winter, this facility is an awesome backcountry winter recreation spot.
