RUSH CREEK - SOUTH

Rush Creek, originally called "Lake Creek," is a 27 mile creek that begins on the slopes of Mount Lyell; then courses through both Silver & Grant Lakes in the June Lake Loop before emptying at the south shore of Mono Lake.

The fishing areas are divided into "Upper" and "Lower" Rush Creek:  From Silver Lake to Grant Lake is the "Upper Rush Creek," while "Lower Rush Creek" goes from the drainage at Grant Lake to Mono Lake.  While Upper Rush Creek is seasonal, Lower Rush Creek offers year-round fishing; albeit with barbless hooks / artificial lure rules.

With a variety of fish from wild Brookies & Brown Trout to stocked Rainbow Trout; and easy roadside access, Rush Creek is a wonderful fishing spot for visitors and locals alike.
