LUNDY LAKE
Set in Lundy Canyon and overseen by stunning Gilcrest Peak to its South, Lundy Lake is a scenic lake that was expanded to its current size when it was dammed in 1910. Even though a paved road will take you all the way to Lundy Lake Resort on the West shore, Lundy offers a level of solitude you won't find at the other prime fishing spots of the Eastern Sierra.
There's more than just trout in Lundy Lake, too! "Stagecoach Corner" was once thought to be named for a legend of a crashed stagecoach until scuba divers discovered the preserved stagecoach at the bottom of the lake.
