Nestled at 7,500' and less than half a mile from U.S. 395 along Rock Creek Road is French Camp Campground.  This pleasant, easily accessible campground accommodates tents or RVs at 85 creekside camping sites, and is considered an excellent "basecamp" of sorts for anglers.

Not only can you find Brookies, Brown, & Rainbow Trout in Rock Creek, which borders many of the campsites; but you're also a very short drive from other popular fishing sites, such as Crowley Lake, Rock Creek Lake, and the Upper Owens River.
