TANGLE FREE WATERS LINE SORTING PARTY
It’s been a great fishing season and we’re sad to see many of our favorite spots close. But, thanks to volunteers and staff, an enormous amount of monofilament fishing line has been collected this season through our Tangle Free Waters program. Now it is time to sort it, remove any debris, and package to ship for recycling! Collecting the line is just step 1. To fully close the circle, we need to make sure it gets recycled and doesn’t end up in the landfill where it can entangle birds and be ingested by wildlife the same as it would at our lakes.
Be part of the solution - We would love your help!
Join us on Friday, November 17 at the Mammoth Lakes Community Center from 3:00 - 7:00pm. Stop by anytime and help for as long as you can! We’ll have food and drinks to keep you motivated!! 😉
No need to bring anything, but if you have leather gloves and scissors, it will be helpful.
