SUPPORT: CAMP LIKE A PRO

Dispersed camping has long been part of the Eastern Sierra experience offering freedom, solitude, and a deeper connection to the landscape. As use has increased, so has the impact on these undeveloped areas.

MLR’s dispersed camping program, Camp Like A Pro, helps meet that challenge by placing portable toilets and trash dumpsters at heavily used sites, giving visitors practical tools to recreate responsibly. These services reduce trash, human waste, and environmental damage which protect scenic landscapes, waterways, and wildlife habitat. It’s a simple approach with a meaningful impact, and a key part of MLR’s commitment to stewardship.

Since 2021, this program has provided essential infrastructure across our public lands, helping maintain clean, accessible, and enjoyable outdoor spaces for all. This work is made possible through community support. Your contribution directly funds the placement, servicing, and maintenance of these facilities.

Help protect the places you love. Consider making a donation—or becoming a sustaining supporter—and be part of keeping the Eastern Sierra wild, clean, and accessible for generations to come.
