MLR BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
The team that makes up Mammoth Lakes Recreation is an all-star roster, including our Treasurer, Heather Schaubmayer. Heather grew up in Dallas, TX and attended LA Tech University on a Volleyball Scholarship. She left Louisiana to pursue other interests which included traveling until 1997 when she moved to Los Angeles, CA. Heather managed in different rolls at Dublin’s Irish Whiskey Pub in West Hollywood for 5 ½ years when Intrawest approached them to open a location in the Village at Mammoth. Of course, Heather jumped at the opportunity to try something new and moved to Mammoth Lakes in 2002 looking for change, a challenge, and new opportunities.
Since moving to Mammoth Lakes, she married, had twin daughters, and has continued her career in the Food & Beverage industry for over 25 years. Since 2019, she has been working as the Branch Manager for Southern Glaziers Wine & Spirits. In addition, Heather is an event producer for Mammoth Rock N Events that puts on Mammoth Rock N Rye & and Mammoth Oktoberfest. She loves to entertain, travel, hike, ski, camp and spend time with family & friends. Most recently, Heather has joined Mammoth Club Volleyball as a coach to the development team.
Heather has been with MLR for seven years and loves being part of a non-profit that benefits our community with culture, growth and enrichment in our lives. “Mammoth is a special place because of the people, the remote location, and the endless beauty. I feel beyond fortunate to have called this place my home for over 20 years.”
