We hope you can join us for an upcoming Mammoth Trails meeting Thursday, November 18, at 5:00pm. This will be our third meeting to discuss the Shady Rest Inyo Craters Trails Planning Project, and we are pleased to provide everybody the opportunity to join in virtually to review the project, view public outreach efforts (including the survey results!), and get up to speed on current concept developments.

11/18 Meeting Background:
The Town of Mammoth Lakes was awarded a three-year planning grant from the California State Parks Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Division Grant Program in 2020. The TOML, in partnership with Inyo National Forest – Mammoth Ranger District and Mono County, is using the California OHV planning grant funds for on-the-ground planning and environmental review (NEPA/CEQA) in order to optimize existing OHV trail facilities to better serve a wide spectrum of user groups and to consider enhanced opportunities for trails and sustainable recreation in the Shady Rest Inyo Craters sub-region.

Tomorrow's meeting will focus on the Shady Rest Inyo Craters project with presentations and discussions from the project team, including:
  • Project Overview
  • Public Outreach Efforts
  • Public Survey Results
  • Concept Development and Planning Considerations
  • Project Timeline and Next Steps
