Sustainability. Quality of Life.

Stewardship. Public Benefit.

🏕
CAMPING
Campgrounds in Mammoth Lakes and June Lake Loop that are on will be on a 100% reservation system for the 2021 season. Lake George and Pine City campgrounds in Mammoth will remain first-come first-served as well as all of Reds Meadow and all of Tioga Pass. View the Inyo NF Recreation web page for campground updates.
Make campground reservations at: www.recreation.gov
🚤
BOATING
To stop the spread of invasive mussels, all boats entering Crowley Lake will be inspected. Boats that have tags from last season (2020), do not need to be re-inspected as long as the original tag has not been broken or tampered with.
Click HERE for more information and full schedule of inspection times and locations.
After Saturday April 24, all boat inspections will occur during the normal business hours at Crowley Lake.
🎣
FISHING
Fishing line that is....
For generations, monofilament fishing line has been essential tackle. It never truly bio-degrades making it a serious threat to the environment and wildlife can easily become entangled. MLR’s Tangle Free Waters program places line collection stations at Eastern Sierra fishing spots. The line is recycled to improve fish habitat and keep our waterways tangle-free! Help by Adopting A Station!

LEARNING IS FUN!

New Books and Maker Kits To-Go

Mono County Libraries Makerspace, thanks to a grant from Measure U, has received over 200 new Makerspace books. If you're looking for some activities to do for yourself or with your child, come check out the collection on the second floor of the Mammoth Lakes Library. From learning to sew to nature art activities, these books are an awesome way to get inspiration! You can also access the Makerspace books by searching "MAKER" on the online library catalog.

The Makerspace currently offers free Maker Kits To-Go. These kits are available to pick up at any Mono County Library branch, as supplies last. Look forward to an Earth Day activity and a poetry kit for April!
