2020/21 MEASURE U GRANT APPLICATION WINDOW OPENS FEBRUARY 1st

Mammoth Lakes, CA (January 17, 2020) – Mammoth Lakes Recreation announced this week that the application period for the Town of Mammoth Lakes (TOML) Measure U Grant Program for fiscal year 2020-2021 will open on February 1, 2020.

The grant program is funded through Measure U; a utility tax which was established in 2010 to specifically fund recreation, arts, culture and mobility programs and projects in the Town of Mammoth Lakes.  $166,000 has been allocated for distribution to local non-profits, community groups, businesses, schools, or individuals who meet the grant criteria. The TOML Measure U grant process is administered by Mammoth Lakes Recreation, who assist grantees through the process, before submitting their award recommendation to the Mammoth Lakes Town Council for approval.

Interested parties can submit their application online. Information and resources are available at: https://mammothlakesrecreation.org/measure-r-u/.  All applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. on February 28, 2020.

Mammoth Lakes Recreation will be holding grant workshops on Wednesday January 29th from 12:00-1:00pm, and on Tuesday February 11th from 5:30-6:30pm at the Mammoth Lakes Library. The workshops will familiarize applicants with the application, work through specific details of an application, and provide the opportunity to ask any questions. Those who are unable to make it to one of the workshops can schedule one-on-one time with staff.
